there is a blender script that allows you to export t a sculptmap, its with blender on the wiki at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Sculpted_Prims:_3d_Software_GuideOf the two listed tutorials, this seems best suited for you http://www.bentha.net/sculpted2/Blender-to-sculpted.htmlI havent used blender since its evil imho, but i know it is possible, but again, yuo wll be limited in detail. You cant just import a .3ds to SL though, no, you hae to change it to a bitmap or targa(preferred), or I suppose even jpeg or png r whatever..anyway, it needs to be a vertex offset map (I think thats the name for it), not a 3d model file. I know there is 3dm2sculpt, which you drag a .3dm file onto it and it changes it to a sculpt, or multiple sculpts, which is awesome, and that may help you. Thats about all I know =/ EDIT:: No its not! Did a little research, and along with 3dm2sculpt there is obj2sculpt, found here with instructions /8/e8/182763/1.html#post1505114

lol yuppers ^_^
Just so you know, I'm only good with wings and specialty programs, and there are others far better with each.. I jst happened to be the one to answer fastest =P
Anytime you need help with Wings 3d, or any specialty program.. ill try to help, just as most in this forum would ^_^
Also, cool ot, after my next tutorial (I'm having troubles uploading due to ice on the dish and such.. its taking so long my internet goes out before its done =[)
Anyway, y third tutorial will be making a squared-edges table in wings 3d since it took me a little while to figure it out and its useful ^_^ that kinda follows the same vein as your sword demi-tutorial i wrote earlier
