I have engaged a designer work on some designing for me. But this person have not dealt with SL and the primitives.

1) Shirt, Pants , Skirt - Pretty easy to design have read the forums and understood hot to do it.

2) Jewellery and accessories (example Necklace, Bracelet & Rings) could someone advice how to get this done unlike apparels i believe its different. Could you explain how its done, some video(youtube) etc or any explaination to my designer.

3) Shop - If i got my designer design a shop in a 3D application, how do i rezz the shop in SL. Please advice.

3) Buildings are quite understandable. - no problem with that.

thanks in advance.

These aren't easy to do well. Search the forums for Chip Midnight's free templates and Johan Durant's clothing previewer -- they should help a lot.

These objects are made from primitives, then attached to the avatar.

You can't. I mean, there are some experimental programs that will allow you to import models into SL, but they're not really practical. The exception is importing sculpted prims, but you probably aren't building a shop from those. You need a designer who works with SL primitives.[/quote]

Best of luck with your project! :)

I think you're a bit confused on 2d and 3d content creation in SL.

You know the difference between a texture and a model correct? SL can handle the majority of your modeling needs--at the moment, export tools aren't without glitches, so for now, I'd say work strictly in SL when modeling/building anything.

Texture's can be tweaked in SL (but they can not be created in SL--unless it's a bump map, but let's not go there for now). Textures are created in any of the myriad paint programs out there...then they are upload to SL, and from there you can manipulate them, and place them on objects, clothing, or where ever.

Clothing and skins are usually fit to a template which you would open in your 2d application...there you place the images in the proper location and upload to SL.

Gosh it's hard to understand what level you're at...it seems you have to start from the basics. Go crazy with the tutorials on the web, and start practicing with the SL building tool, and third party paint programs...

Good luck.
