I have a house in Blumfield that is ready-made. It says it can be motified, but what exactly does that mean? I tried to change the wall colors and changed the whole house. It somehow got back to how it was after I announced that it happened. LOL!

How do we motify/change colors of interior...inside the house?

Thanks

If it's not modifyable you won't be able to change it. I'd suggest contacting the creator and asking if the house is available in different colors or if he or she could customize one for you.

When you click on edit, you need to click the "edit textures" button. This will put a white bullseye pattern over everything. Then, you click on the wall or floor or whatever you want to change: the bullseye will then only appear on that surface (this is how you can be sure you've selected properly) and you can proceed with making changes using the options on the TEXTURE tab.

Whoops, I misread. I could have sworn your post said "It says it can't be modified". Sorry about that.

apologies in advance if this is too basic but a few comments:

the house is made up of linked prims. If you go into "edit" mode and select a linked set, if you change a color or texture, it will change every side of every prim in the linked set. And no undo.

You can edit a few different ways:
- the most control, as already explained above, is to use the "Select texture" option in the top of the edit window and work on specific sides. You can hold down the shift button and select multiple texture "faces" (i.e. sides of a prim) at a time, which can speed things up.

- you can unlink the entire house and work on the prims individually

- I'm blanking on the actual wording, but you can click on the checkbox that says something like "Edit linked prims" or Edit in linked set... funny i can't remember... but that means you don't have to unlink the house, you just check that box and then click on the prim you want to work on. any texture/color change you make in this mode will be applied to all sides of that prim, but at least not to the entire house

Which of the above is most efficient depends on the task you are trying to do. In your case, the "select texture" would definitely be my approach as well.

Now I have more copying and pasting to do with this post. Thanks so much. I have to try this out. Wish me luck :-)))))))
