Hi. I bought one of the JZ drop in TV scripts and want to build a TV for it, however I can't seem to figure out exactly what to do to get the screen portion to recognize the script, or what to build the screen as to make it recognized as a "tv screen". ANy help would be appreciated.

You should speak to the people you bought the script from.

Yeah, tried that several times with no response. I'll try again, but If I don't hear something soon, I won't be buying from them again.

easiest way is to build the TV

the easiest way is to build the TV you want and then drop the script in, edit the texture for the faces you don`t actually want showing the video to whatever texture you like...that`s the way I do it...works well.
I actually made a video room of sorts where all the inside walls show the video but the outside of the walls is textured brick. |

If you look at your land management interface (where you set music/video stream URL's), you'll notice a place to set a texture to be replaced by streaming video. What I did was uploaded a custom texture with color bars and applied that to ONLY the face of the tv screen I wanted video. Then also apply that texture in the land management option I described above.

I'm having the same problem

And I followed all the suggestions, but I still can't get a video I made playing on the screen.
Also I bought the same script. The touch option is greyed out so you cannot run the script. Of course, there is no access to it. I still have got no word from the company as to what to do. Just wondering if anyone else knows what to do? |

You're trying to run the script on land you own, correct?
If yes, then just by dragging the script from your inventory onto the prim should do the trick. Once the script is in the prim, it should set all faces of that prim to the blue JZ logo screen, and set the Media texture to the same. If you're trying to run it on land you don't own, then that's why it isn't working. Just my thoughts ![]() |

You shouldn't need a touch button
![]() After you drag the script onto a prim, does that prim turn blue with a JZ logo on it? If yes, then you need to open up your About Land properties and click the Media tab, then set a URL. The script that I believe you're refering to isn't preloaded with any URLs. You would need to purchase one of the JZ Dvd Players or Jukeboxes (Or dvd players and jukeboxes from another supply...I just use JZ so I'm plugging them) |

I've got the website set up in My land already. Still nothing. Now perhaps, because I am still not a 100% with all of this, dont have it correct.
I want to have the script run a movie I made that is in .mp3 format. Do I have the entire site to the .mp3 file or just to the page? |

Music perhaps, but not movies. Basically, it comes down to if you can play it in quicktime, you can play it inworld. And you'd need the exact link to the file on the server. No loading or mirror pages, just the file. |

I'm sorry, it's an .mpg file. I know it works in Quicktime because I've watched it. And I put in the exact link, but it still won't run.
Also, does anyone know where I can buy a converter (in r/l) that will change the format of a movie from .avi to .mov? I can make movies in .avi, windows, real player, but not .mov. I bet that will help. ![]() Thanks for the help, I'll keep trying. |
