How do I make the wood grain of a prim straight up and down?

Hi all..... I'm sure this question may have been asked many a time, but my search didn't come up with any results and Live Help is telling me there isn't a way to do this...

I'm fairly new at building, but learning more all the time, so here goes.

I'm building a small bar for a pool area. I wanted to make a pitched roof, so I used the tetrahedron, thinking "oh, this should be easy"... LOL NOT! I made the size adjustments, then used a straight tiled roof texture. Well, as you're figuring, the straight texture isn't straight on the prim, as it follows the wood grain of the prim. Is there any way to fix the direction of the grain, or am I stuck using either another type of roof, or a solid color?

Thanks for any suggestions! :)

You can rotate the orientation of a texture on a face. If you look on the texture tab there is a box (on the left toward the bottom) that you can enter the number of degrees to rotate the texture. Either 90 or -90 will probably do what you want. You can use the select texture mode to rotate different faces by different amounts.
