Hello all!

Ok... this has been driving me half-mad for days now!!! Can anyone advise me on the best prim/texture/animation script for making candle flames? Or perhaps a good tutorial on how to do so? I'd appreciate any advise! Thanks!

There are two normal approaches for this - particles or prim flames.

A candle can be made that uses a small particle fire. That is more a scripting issue than a building one, but I am sure someone can chime in soon with a LM for an in-world particle lab where you can learn how to do that, or will provide a script for that.

More commonly, a single prim or a pair of prims that displays an animated candle flame will be used. For a candle flame, you would really only need 4 cells or so in the animation to make it flicker nicely. Again, someone will likely chime in soon with more detailed advice.
