Sculpts change the appearance of a prim but do not change the bounding box. So you will have to use a sit script to adjust where your avatar sits in relation to the visible surface of the Sculpt.

Lex Neva has a great, free script that makes it easy to create these Sit Target scripts. Check out this thread for more info:
