This is a pretty vague question, really Andrew. How you find out depends on a lot of things. 1) did you build it yourself? 2) are the prims linked?. Thats a good place to start

If you didnt build it yourself, ask the builder..... If you did build it yourself, start counting.. LOL

If the prims are linked / grouped, and they are all in one group, just look in the general tab of the edit window.. There may be multiple linked groups for larger houses, so you need to make sure you select each group and get their counts..the combined total is your prim count.

It's not a vague question at all. It's easy to find out the number of prims in any build. Here are a few ways to do it:
  1. If the house is the only thing on your land, simply click on the top of the screen where it says the name of the land. The "about land" window will open. It will tell you how many prims exist on the parcel.

    OR

  2. If the house is all one link set, simply select it, right click to edit, and go to the General tab. It will tell you how many prims are in it.

    OR

  3. If it's not all one link set, select all the pieces either by shift-clicking each one, or by dragging the mouse to draw a selection box (helps to make sure "select only my objects" is turned on the Tools Menu at the top of the screen). Again, now the General tab on the editor window will tell you how many prims you have selected.
