Is there a way to build particles from the Create menu, or are they only accessable from a script? I noticed someone mentioned a static particle, how are they made?

Need a script to start it, but once started can erase the script and particles will stay...
I assume that is what is meant by static particles..or maybe particles that don't move? not sure..lol

Particles

I was just looking to create some particles around some objects I'm building. Using them mostly for decoration in place of prims (as a light for example). I just want to place them and have them stay with the object.
If I write a script to generate the particles will they stay in positions relative to the object or will they need to be updated?
Some one gave me a jet pack that leaves "smoke puffs" behind it and they seem to stay where they were created and fade out. Are all particles like that or does their destruction also need to be included in the script?

Whether the particles follow the object or stay where dropped or are blown by the wind, etc., is something controlled by the particle script.
