anyone else can't set the grid options in the edit mode window? I click the button and nothing happen.

The grid options button is working fine on my end, but snapping doesn't seem to be. I really don't use the grid anyway, so it's not a big deal for me, but it is odd.

I finally figures out what the problem was. I always set the edit window all the wat to the right of the screen. When clicking on the grid option button, the window opened "OUTSIDE" the screen area, to the right of the edit window.
Another example of the amateurish programming typical of LL.
Yes I reported the bug to LL. Not holding my breath for any answers except for the automated one.

Not to belittle your frustration while it was happening, but it's actually kind of funny if you think about it. Well, at least it seems funny to me after having been awake and staring at a screen for the past 14 hours or so. It might seem different tomorrow. Anyway, if you've got an nVidia video card, you might want to go into your settings and turn on "prevent child windows from opening off screen". I assume it works because I too keep my editor on the right, I always have that option turned on, and I've never had the grid options window open so it can't be seen. It always opens directly above the editor window for me. Could be just coincidence I guess, but I suspect it's the nVidia driver doing its job. If you've got an ATI card, I don't know if it has that feature, but it's probably worth finding out.

I thought that grid properties didn't work, but the window was appearing on the right edge of the screen, partially off screen...also hidden behind my mini-map. Just wanted to let you know you weren't alone in this. |
