I've found a Math method to line textures up in the forums here, but here is a problem I've gotten into I need help with: The method I've been using to match textures up seamlessly is trial and error (eyeball till it looks close then I keep splitting the difference in the repeats # till it looks perfect), which I probably will keep to when the prims concerned are oddball sizes in relation to each other (just not THAT math savvy :-/).
But here's the problem: After matching all the textures of the inside of a stone house, I go outside and find that none of the repeat and offset adjustments took to the outside face of the walls. Well, actually the settings ARE the same side to side, but the outside still looks screwed up. Now we're talking about a flat cub (a wall) where the opposing sides are the same size...so what's up? ...and how do I fix without undoing all the work inside that looks so good?
thx for any help Dunc

Use the "Select Texture" radio button option on the build menu. Then click on the face you want to texture.

texturing single faces
05-16-2006 03:33
Hi, To clarify what was said above. If you look at the top of the edit window you will see a radio button called SELECT TEXTURE. Click this and then select the face you want to texture/adjust. It will then only adjust that face. Also you can select several faces using SHIFT/L click on the faces you want. Hope this helps

Aligning textures

So I must've selected that button unintentionally when I was aligning the inside faces of the walls? Because I haven't had opposing face textures adjust singly before...when I've done signs, etc. I'm just trying to discover what I must've done to avoid it in the future.
