(1) I built a swimming pool but can't figure out how to put "usable" water (that the AV's can go underneath) in it; also I want to be able to see through the water to the mosaic tile at the bottom of the pool. How do I do it?
(2) How do I make a waterfall - or can I buy pre-made scripts?
Thanks!

1) Set the object as "Phantom" in the Object tab. Set the texture to a higher alpha in the Texture tab. 2) I have some examples up in Game Dev 3. They're accomplished with the newbie texture animation script (which will be in Library > Scripts of your inventory) and this command: http://secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka.php?wakka=llLoopSoundYou can also create a snazy particle effect for it by seeking out Ama or eltee's particle scripts here in the Script Library forum.

Jeff is right, but in case you don't know what "alpha" means, he's referring to the Transparency field on the Texture tab. This can be between 0 and 90%.

Or more than 90% with a script. For now, that's a solid point.

Er, and where might one find the splash sound to play with that script? Is there one in my library somewhere? Or should I hold a microphone up to my kitchen sink and hit record?

Hi Echinacea, waterfalls are tons of fun to do...and very, very easy. Come by Port Abattoir, Story Book Island or Isle of Tempest shops and get a 'how-to' book...or IM me online for some fun ideas that make them look nice. As for the sounds..I'll drop what I have on both of you
