I am in the process of building a house and the front and one side link and the back and the other side link but I'm getting the error of the prims being too far apart when I try to link them together....

Any ideas?

Hi Jayson,

As you've discovered, there's a link limit based on distance (measured from the prim centers) and relative prim size. It's probably a good idea to make the most central prim the root prim when linking, but if they're still too far apart, then you have to modularise your build.

Btw, the last prim you select before linking will become the root prim.

Thankyou for your help... So you say the middle floor base should be the last prim selected when linking everything?

I'll go in game in a sec and try it out :) Thanks for your input ;)

Well yes, but it could still fail if the distance between prims is too large. More on prim size/distance link limits here:

I always build in modular sections when this happens.
