As i try to get the basics of MAYA under control i hope someone will put out a a step-by-step tutorial or help. Lets say i am trying to make a simple sphere with a black and white checker texture in maya and export both to secondlife
Using the exporter i can get the sphere into secondlife, but its the texture i simply dont understand. Must i first create a uv map and then CONVERT TO A FILE TEXTURE? And then export that file as well? It is this entire process of creating the file in Maya that i am struggling with.
