It's gotten to the point where I'm afraid to change a texture on something - from, say, a texture to the default texture - because so often lately this is making me freeze up (program not responding/crash), and have to log out and get in again.
Anyone know why this is happening?

Hmm, there used to be a crash bug with the default texture button, but if memory serves, I think it was squashed about a year ago or so. I wonder if it's back in the new version. If it's happening frequently, bug report it ASAP.
