Not sure if this is the right place to ask this:

How do i get differnet fonts to work for building gestures? Is there a way to upload them? I have all the symbols and or alt codes for such but im looking at the actual lettering being a bit different....any help would be greatly apprecaited

You're stuck. You can't change the default font that's used in gestures or elsewhere in chat, IMs, hover text, etc. You can use all the special characters in the extended character set (the ones you use alt codes for), but that's the limit of your flexibility.

I was just wondering about this the other day; you can use all the 'special characters' in *which* extended character set? Does SL use Unicode, or is it some windows code-page based thing? I've discovered that certain non-ASCII characters I use to render a hover-text progress bar (taken from the script wiki) are getting corrupted, depending on which editor I use to copy them from before pasting to SL, which certainly seems to suggest an encoding problem...
