Has anyone else had any issues recently editing other resident's builds even after being given permission to modify the objects?
I was trying to help a friend set up house and even after being give the right to modify their houseI can't "edit linked parts". Clicking on the house selects it, but clicking "edit linked parts" unselects it. If I unlink the prims I can edit each one seperately but I can't do it while they're linked. I also noticed that I can't multi-select the prims after they've been ungrouped.
All the prims/scripts are modifiable and the house is residing on a group-owned property.
I've noticed this since the last release.

I've had this same problem. Unable to edit a linked object despite having mod rights from the creator/owner.

Ditto. I had a hard time even selecting a linked assembly of parts to move it, and selecting 'edit linked parts' inevitably de-selected the whole linkset. It is not possible in this release to edit someone else's linked prims, except to move them, unless you are willing to unlink the linkset.

Same problem here. A friend and I have a partnership building large builds (250 prim+) and now it's impossible to collabarate. unlinking is not an option as there are too many parts to relink afterwards. Hopefully this is a bug that will soon be fixed.

I've had the issue. Clear your cache and relog, then log out, uninstall SL completely, redownload the client and reload. You'll have to get all the annoying new resident help stuff and reset any preferences that aren't default, but it will fix the issue.
I've had to do it twice now. Sigh.

And I've had to do it three more times since I posted.
I've bug reported the issue per Adam Linden's request and he has been given the bug report case ID to track. You may wish to report the bug as well.
