I see "billboards" where a single picture is stretched over the faces of several boards to make one big picture.

Anyone know how this is done?

I am doing this for my girlfriend so PLZ PLZ Plz help me look like the man tonight

make a texture and devide it up over prims
ie 4 prims to make a square
set your texture repetes to 0.250 (the image is now in quarters)
ajust offsets untill each part is in its propper prim

(+ numbers = up and right - numbers = down and left in the texture offsets)

You can spread a single texture across as many prims as you want. I made a 3 x 3 prim wall and spread one texture across it, making a 30 meter tall "Oak Tree" on one edge of my parcel. Just use fractional repeat values, as the previous poster explained for a 2x2 prim array. There is no practical limit to this, although if you streach a 512 x 512 texture out too much, it will eventially look quite grainy when close to the wall.

But then, so do real billboards. *grins*
