Hi all,
I am looking for some user created art to display in the new Welcome area. SL originals, like prim sculptures. They can't be too big or wide. So Venus de Milo size not David size. If you have something like this, drop it on my card. No contest, no prize. I will just pick some to display. After a month or so I will take new submissions and change things out to keep it fresh.
Thanks in advance for your art!

Liferain Park -- Alviso needs scultures, too
03-18-2005 08:42
Just thought I'd piggyback on this thread, since I'm looking for scultpures, too.
Contstruction on a new nature park is underway on the western side of the Alviso island. This is a mixed park and residential project. Lots are still available. I'm hoping to attract naturalistic artists and builders as residents or as architects for builds on the lots to be sold. The park itself is over 8Km2 and will be open to the public.
The park includes a 2144m2 water lot across from the island that is approximately 20m X 80m and is 30m X 30m in its largest part. I was thinking that a sculture at water level, visible from the island would be a fine addition.
The idea is still underdevelopment, but I was thinking that maybe there could be more than one sculpture and that the thing would be scripted to allow visitors to the park to change the sculpture being displayed.
I don't have a preconceived notion about what kind of sculptures would be best, but since nature is the theme, the sculpture should feature wood, stone, or non-shiny metal. Abstraction is fine if it blends with the surrounding builds.
I've attached a picture of the area. the pier in the lower right corner is approximately where the sculpture would be displayed. The coordinates are 58,240 in Alviso.
IM me or send me a sculpture if your interested.
