EverQuest Refugees

Seems like there are a lot of SLers with dual citizenship in Norrath (or emigres, heh) so I thought I'd open up a topic for saying hello, comparing notes, and so on.

So come out, come out! I KNOW I'm not the only person who hits number lock when I want to run.

I play on the Mithaniel Marr server. I mostly play my mid-level gnome wizard, so naturally I've blown through a couple hundred bucks in SL teleporting already.

Hi Niaria! I'm.. well I'm hesitant to say this since I honestly have all but stopped playing back in December.. a Teir`Dal Shadowknight and a froglok Paladin on Xegony. Most of the reason I go back are these two guys I have been playing with since open back in '99..

Im a huge Evercrack fan. I have a 37 wizard on the Seventh Hammer Server and a few mid level alts. I still play EQ. Who knows maybe we cold make an Eq group and make an Eq related area.

I was a eq addict, stopped a couple weeks back, and have been looking for a new addiction, and found SL.

in EQ i was on the Druzzil Ro server, I was a level 65 wizard 100+ AAXP and great gear. was in the HOSS guild who are the dominant guild on the server and still the only guild in the elemental planes

I must admit I was once an Everquest freak. And perhaps I still am to this day. Alas, I had a character called Kron. He was a level 20 Iksar on my friends account. Whenever I came over to my friends house, I would play it nonstop, so I gained levels fairly quickly (Got to level 3 on my first day.). But, then my friend closed his account, and Kron was lost. It was cool that my friend let me use his account though. I still want to return to everquest though.

Is there a way to have a community first and real estate second? I just set up house and I shudder at the thought of building another cabin and having it flip upside down on me again so soon.

Friends are absolutely the reason I play EQ at all now. A friend and I co-lead what is probably the smallest guild in the game just to have someplace where those who still have accounts can talk.

I was a 60 wood elf druid and also had a 56 high elf cleric (shared him with my friend). I was an officer in an awesome guild, loved my friends, but had to quit for school (it was my last semester!). I quit the day PoP came out. I was going to start up again after school was finished, but I realized how much time it was taking up in my life, so finally broke the addiction.

I still have gaming withdrawls, but I am easily swept away in games, so am very hesitant to put more time into games I like (such as SL). I need a strong ground in RL... plus I want to bug Ama in person once in a while. (:

What if it were possible for a game like Everquest to be constructed within Second Life? I posted about this in the AD&D thread. You folks who are more familiar with constructing and scripting than I--do you think this is or can ever be possible?

Imagine what could come to pass if so! There could be all kinds of worlds within the world.

I was a hard-core EQ addict for quite a while. Stopped playing a couple months ago. Played on Druzzil Ro, level 65 enchanter, around 214 or so aa xp.

It got to the point where I felt there wasn't much left to do in game except hang out and talk to people (or sit around in a raid). After certain people moved to different servers, or just stopped playing, I decided to finally quit.

At least in SL there is always more to do =D. Much more freedom, always something to do hehe. I'm enjoying my time here so far immensly!

I havent been playing for too long but i have a Lvl 8 magician High elf. and a Lvl 15 Paladin High Elf.

52 mage on the Xev server. I havent played in forever, but i still hear about whats going on when ever I talk to my mom. I'm not sure what lvl her druid is, but its prolly 65 by now. (funny thing is, i started 4 months before her and PLed her to 25, now she has more loot and exp then i think ill ever muster up on eq) EQ was great for a while, but repeated lame-ness gets old. (bickering guilds, ninja looters, kill stealers, and now with the new expansions the absolute inability to solo.) Not to mention the repition of it all, doing the same thing over and over and over every time ur on aint my idea of fun hehe. Im suprized i got to 52 with my attitude about eq being so negitive. ehehe

I used to play a 58 enchanter on Fennin, named Alfari. Hehe, give me a im if you want to complain about everquest, or wax nostalgic about the game pre-RoK.

I had a lvl 15 wood elf ranger named Aristan.

But that was a few years ago. After lvl 15, I had surpassed all those I usually played with and it got boring. I dont think that will happen in SL though.

Ceary Belmont(53 bard) Aridale Belmont(50 guide) Raynot Rilrynkin (45 war) and numerous others all 30+ on Mith Marr. I quit now tho awaiting EQ2 BABY!!

51 Half Elf druid from Lanys server here. Haven't been playing much in the last while though. Hmm, I wonder if we can customize some EQ items and things for here.

I am Skippy, I was addicted to EQ. Thanks to SL back in January , I haven't played much and I think my subscription is up. But anyway, I have a 30 mage, and some other chars on the Prexus Server. Also since I started playing SL I have friends who have stopped talking to me, apparently cause I don't play EQ.
