How can I create a Geosphere with the Shape and SCale similar to that of Disney World's Epcot Center?

lots and lots of triangles.
Do a search on Buckminster Fuller and Geodesic spheres (Yay for Bucky Balls!). You might be able to find a way to do it. _____________________

Here is a similar request, and I'd highly recommend Cadroe Murphy's shape maker which is mentioned in that thread.

Cadroe's shapemaker is a great tool, and it will certainly build you a sphere 50 meters across if you want it to, which would put you on the scale of Epcot's sphere. However, unless I'm mistaken, it won't really be an Epcot-like sphere. The panels onEpcot's sphere, are all pyramids, which in SL would be prisms, and to my knowledge Shapemaker only uses cubes. I haven't played with the latest version yet, but that's how it's been in previous versions.
I'm not currently aware of any scripted tool that will make a sphere from prisms, but I'd imagine it wouldn't be a huge deal to adapt something like shapemaker to do it. Again though, if all you want is a large sphere, not necessarily an Epcot replica, Shapemaker will do the job just fine (or you can place all the panels by hand, but it takes a while). _____________________

the prims required to make a 100% true geodesic shpere would be insane, it would probally be best to get something (like shapemaker mentioned before) to make a large sphere and texture it with the triangles
Spaceship Earth is actually made up of an inner sphere and an outer sphere. The outer sphere, known as a "geodesic sphere," has 11,324 custom-fit triangular panels made of Alucobond (two sheets of aluminum with a plastic core). even if you used prymid shaped prims thats still 3775 prims ![]() |

All I have to say is "D'oh!" I should have kept reading. Yeah, 11,324 triangular tiles. That's, um, quite a few. Textured cubes would be the way to go. _____________________
