I must be dense or doing something wrong this evening. I'm trying to make an isosceles triangle with a narrow base and long sides. I hope to put a bunch of these together to form a floor for a polygon. Any help would be appreciated?
Thanks.

What is the best way to make a polygon base to use as a floor? Thanks.

First make the box a diamond by giving it a begin & end twist of 45 degrees. Then path cut it to remove half of the diamond and you have an isosceles triangle.

Aren't we over-complicating this just a little with all these cuts and twists? All you wanted was a triangular-looking prim, right Mij? Well, how about simply tapering a cube all the way, so that the top becomes a point? Or how about using an untapered prism?

By the way, what do you mean by "floor for a polygon"? A polygon is any multi-sided object, from a digon (two sides) to a googlohedron (10^100 sides) and beyond. Typically in 3D modeling lingo, polygons are triangles or quadrangles (rectangles). None of these things have "floors". Buildings have floors, and buildings can of course be shaped like any of these polygons (although a googlohedron might be a little tough to pull off), but still it's hard to understand what "floor of a polygon" might mean. So what exactly did you have in mind?

The two methods will texture differently unless planar mode is used. Try them both and see which suits you best.
