Someone rezed 100 prims on my land and SL returned my prims. I'm trying to see if it is because of the way I divided my deeded land. I divided a 4m border all around the parcel and set it "No build" "No outside script" The result is that the parcels aren’t balanced in terms of prims. The buildable parcel has more prims on it than that piece supports, but people can still access the group prim allotment and keep building even though they arn't a member of the group. I set all the land to “No build” but then I can’t build even when I activate the group.

As long as the border has the same owner (group or individual) the prims count to a single bucket and may be used on any piece of land in the same sim, regardless of size or how many prims that particular subdivided piece should be able to support on its own.

I sliced a piece off and bought it myself. I can't tell yet if this works since I'll have to have someone else check the land object count.

It still does not work It seems that SL uses up my gobal prim alocation first before it uses prims for the group land. Here's the situation 1. I own a piece of land personaly in the same sim. 2. The main piece of land is owned by the group 3. I personaly own most of the prims on the group land. I think I'll have to slice off and buy more land personaly since I can't deed non-copy items to the group and ever expect to modify them again. I am testing to see if "Set to group" helps. Edit: Setting the items to the group seems to have fixed it. Now if it happens again I am hopeing that SL returns the non group items first. This would still upset the vendors. I think I'll make my 700m tall tree "Tem on rez" using a script. This will give me some prim overhead.

Yes, to my knowledge if land is owned by a group, members of that group who set their items to group have priority. That's the way most malls work. All vendors have to set their objects to group, though some don't... Sometimes it can get extremely confusing But yeah, setting all your prims to group should keep the problem away
