Hey all I've come in search of a experienced Builder who can help me realize my vision for my home. It will be a prim heavy build. I enjoy alot of detail. Price really isnt an issue but lets keep it realistic. Please IM me in game if you are up to the challenge. Would prefer that you have a few examples of your work as well with as heavy detail as possible. Nothing will be done on the cheap. Thanks in advance for any replies Onelio Calliope

There are a lot of builders who would be more than happy to take on your commission, but we all have our particular styles we work in.

I'm free next week, tuesday-friday. Do a search on the forums for "Foolish Frost" to find examples of my latest builds, or IM me for a tour when I'm online.
And I have a few questions that might help whoever you hire to get the correct build for you.
1. What kind of terrain do you have to work with? Inland? Seaside? What is your terraform level?
2. What is the actual space we will be building? width x length, along with square meters is always a good bit of info. And is it square, or irregular?
3. Are you living in a co-op of any kind, wehre there are rules to build design?
4. Are you wanting a royal enclosed castle or a military design with an open courtyard and hall? Both have good and bad points. Think of the differance between Fort and Palace.
5. What kind of rooms do you want in it? How many bedrooms? How large a 'commons' for people to hang out at your place?
6. Is chat overlap going to be a problem? Chat range is 20 meters, to do you need that taken into account in the design, or do you care?
7. Do you have source pictures you would like to share that would help to define the style you're looking for?
8. What is the due date for the build? Do you have to have it by a certain time?
9. Are you wanting unique rights to the build, or do you care if it's reused again somewhere else?
10. Are you going to be free for questions during the build process, or do you want the builder to make all decisions and are willing to accept them?
There! Sorry for the mountain of questions, but this makes it easier on both you and the builder you choose.
Have fun with your build!

I would also go and see Eva Virgo's prefab houses, especially the alhambra palace and pompeii. The are stunning. $4kL each

It's interesting to work with a requirement like that.

It's 15000-ish prims on a PI.

Ack! Did I drop a zero? I'll go back and correct it, but make it look like it's your fault. : D
Thanks for attention to detail, Ravenelle.

not all builders can build everything
08-06-2005 14:03
Joane,
I deleted you home because you kept changing what you wanted and adding to what you wanted me to build. I refunded your money, because it was impossible for me to make you happy. Trust me I tried. There are many wonderful builders and I think someone out there could make you the home of your dreams even if it's not me.

In my opinion, the most talented and creative builder in Second Life is Versu Richelieu. I believe that many would agree with my opinion. She is also an individual of great integrity.
