Aligning large number of prims in set pattern i.e. circle

Hiya all
Is anyone aware of any SL building aid, script, guide etc that would make it alot easier to space out a large number of prims, in a pre-determined pattern (i.e. a circle, square etc) with the ability to set (in meters) space between prims, height (if needed), size/diameter of pattern etc.

Say for example you wanted to build an auditorium...with a central stage and a large number of seats all around in a circle (even with more than one row)
You put down all your prim seats, select circle pattern template, set spacing between seats and angle (prob point axis at center of circle but could specify X, Y or Z) and then click GO or something. All the seats would go in a circle, with set spacing and diamater and then you coud just link them all. You could also do the same for a second row of seats but just set bigger or smaller diameter (obviously you would have to add more seats for bigger as diameter is bigger and if you wanted spacing the same)

There is plenty of prim alignment systems around but there all for aligning on an axis and joining to make seamless etc. There is also same for textures

Thought i'd ask anyway

I will have to do it by hand. Im not using seats..im using vert window walls and there all in a circle as the BIG house is round. I will have to maybe make a template in xara, (with window positions etc) save as TGA and apply texture to floor temporarily and use as a guide to position the windows

Any help would be appreciated

Can't remember the name of it, but I've got a tool that does what you want. Picked it up free somewhere I think.

I'll be in world in half an hour and I'll IM you the details or drop you a copy if it is a freebie.

Be careful though, I managed to completely bury my 4000 sq m parcel trying it out. My partner was not a happy girl to find several hundred prims randomly scattered through the house.

Yes, there's a tool called the LoopRez Generator that does that. You can pick it up on SL Exchange for free, or from Natalia Zelmenov's store in Serena. There's another version that isn't free that does more things.

Galena is right; the free version only knows a few tricks. Also, if you build with the free version of LoopRez or any version less than the full Deluxe Commercial Edition, your object will always show Ged Larsen as the creator. This may be a disadvantage if you were planning to sell your object. Larsen wrote it for making prim skirts. I've never used it to create something as huge as an auditorium seating plan, but I suppose it would probably work. Try it with the free version and find out.

The other place to look is in the ICT Library on Info Island. They have a large collection of resources for educators -- some free and some for sale -- and I believe there's a program there that does exactly what you want. You can see a demo of it on SJSU Island, which is one sim to the southwest of Info Island.

there is also a tool called flower power, its not free but does alot more tricks than the free version. It will also allow you to show as the creator of the prims.
