I think we mentioned this before, but would anyone with approx 5K in disposable cash be interested in building Venice. I think 25K would be a good start.

I'm proposing another community and I don't know if we can be in more than one. If so, I'd like to join yours, Xav. Or if mine doesn't get approved and yours does, I'd like to join yours. Even if I can't work on your project, I will contribute $5k to it. Cuz I want gondolas and gondoliers sooooooo bad.

I just re-read the announcement and we can be in more than one community -- count me in, please.

This would be great fun, however I'm not going to devote the time and energy into leading it. If someone wants to command this ship - count me in - however I seen the hell Grimm went through with Lindenburg and I really am not as patient as the Mayor.

I don't think Grimm wants to head it because of Lindenburg, and Charile and Lynnix don't spend enough time in world anymore to lead it. That leaves Kerstin - who really has a full plate already, fenix - who already stated she doesn't want to lead it.

So, speak up - who wants to drive this Gondola ?

I'd love to lead it, except I can only be in-world on weekends. If nobody else volunteers, I'll step up, because this is just too great an idea to let go. However, I don't think I would be the most able leader.

Only be in world on weekends will not work well. You would also need a massive amount of funds for the initial land purchase. Wed, Fen and I had a short discussion and I will be the "Leader" as far as Linden contact, however this is just because I am always online. I will make the initial land purchase until the land can be distributed. Pippin, I sent you a group invite make sure you accept when you log in next.

feniks is going to draft the proposal to the Lindens after we have another discussion on how things are going to work. We can wait until this weekend so everyone can attend. Wed has already scripted a working Gondola prototype. I still havn't seen Charlie or Lynnix this week.

I'm new and still rather unskilled at building, but I'm learning quickly, so I can contribute labour (alas, not a lot of Linden loot to my name yet

).

Once I get more experience, I'm hoping to create Venetian Carnival Masks and Renaissance era clothes. 'Cus I want to do the gliding down the canal in a gondola thing too.
