Using Blender for scupties i keep getting this whitish double banding at the equator of my sculpts and maps. Does anyone have any clue what i might be doing wrong?

I dont think it is random, whenever I got results like that it was usually due to some variance
in my uv map. I am not sure exactly what it is, but I would check all your settings. See if anything is different than usual. Also make sure your uv map vertices are all even and you could double check your model in edit mode to make sure you still got all quads.
If on the possiblity it is random you could close out this file and re-open it and start fresh.
Make sure there is no gap in your map, it almost looks like it could be a seam or edge like
from a cut map.

sigh, oh well thanks for trying. i guess i need to buckle down and go about it scientificly > one variable at a time. wish me luck.
