Be honest: am I the problem?

I remember once being in a sandbox experimenting with a rather complex, semi-self-replicating script, and cursing the fact that everytime I was on the verge of activating my creation, some noob would do something stupid to make the sim crash.

It took four or five sim crashes before it occured to me that I was likely the stupid noob.

And as it turns out, I was.

I've been off-grid for several months, but have recently started building stuff in the various script-allowing sandboxes...or at least trying to build stuff. I find these places almost entirely unusable, for all the lag.

Now, I'm open to the possiblity that my building is partly to blame for the sandbox lag. But I doubt it. Instead, I think it's the bouncing Nazi crests or Super Marios or unmentionable images that I always seem to be trying to avoid. But as I said, I might be wrong.

My point is: am I the only one who consistently finds the sandboxes almost entirely useless?

If you build in public sandboxes, a deployable skybox is a must. You can find some freebies around or buy one, but don't even try building on the ground with all the spam :-)

mystitool's freebie hud includes a good one ^^

What I do personally is use my own though... I've built 6 platforms (3 with walls 3 without, 3 diff sizes) with a chair linked to it, and just sit in it then edit location params to around 450m
