Inmost graphic designer softwares I can use % to scale objects.. why is not that possible in SL..??

You get a ”strech”.. thats fine - but if you have a linked object.. why cant that - all of it - al parts - be scaled.. up or down.. NOT by using handles - but writing in 112% or 95%.. or...

Any?....

I don't know why they don't have it, but it drives me crazy also.

Stretch is only approximate, if you want to be accurate and use numbers you have to do it piece by piece and have a calculator open and a pencil and paper handy.

It seems funny that they want you to build in an immersive environment, but to do anything accurate you have to have old fashioned pen and paper drafting tools on he desk beside you to get anything done!

I'd sure like to see this myself. I've designed entire two story buildings at 1/5 scale, and then scaled them up to full size by dragging. I set the limits by ensuring that at the smaller size, at least one prim was 0.01 M thick, and that when scaled to the larger size, at least one prim would come out to exactly 10.0 M long. (Starts as 2 M long). Dragging SLOWLY from one extreme to the other then scales it accurately between 20% and 100%. But drag too fast, and it can screw up the scaling of individual parts horribly!

The above trick can allow you to drag to other scales, as well. Just link in one extra prim as a 'limit setter', with it's length or thickness calculated to yield the desired % scale factor.
