Heyas... just thought I'd post this here, since builders everywhere can use it for more effective inclines and such. I've been plenty of places going up a ramp and slid back down when I stopped...so I decided (With Tegg) to discover what the limit is (Will probably change when physics change)
Checking inclines at various levels, I found that 50° was the final fr every 10° increments I checked.
Wnt down to individual °, and found it as 49.
Went to .00 of a °, and found it to be 48.49 as stable, 48.50 as not
SO the last level of incline functionably walkable is 48.49 degrees.
Hope this helps somebody other than me, I'll be more careful in my builds knowing this.

...Oh, by “*” you mean “°”? Well thanks.
It's always funny though how even wall-like surfaces that, apparently, register as ever-so-slightly less than 90°, are still climbable. Likewise I suspect that any incline ever-so-slightly less than 48.5° is still 'standable'.

Anything (literally I suppose) below is standable, and up to 90 is walkable as well (THough slow for supersteep lol) EDIT:: Original post fixed to have '°' instead of '*'...copypastad from your response lol

good to know what the standing limits are... a wonder if they are higher/lower for different sized av's or if the engine calculates them all at the same mass...

All the same with our current engine. I was a bit smaller than tegg in his roo avvy. I expect his might actually be one of the super skinny limbed as well for that av..not certain... but we had the same limit.

now for fun you could find out what the limit is for getting the run anim when you go down hehe... have you tried different material types? I seem to remember someone telling me that rubber and flesh have higher limits

Yeah, inclines are a bit odd.
As long as you keep moving, you can run up any surface that isn't exactly vertical or overhanging.
If you are walking *down* a ramp, there is a strong tendancy for you to keep moving until you reach the bottom. Walking up, however, you can stop on the ramp if it's less than the 48.49 degree incline mentioned above - which is a little steeper than a 45 degree angle.
