Mirroring and cuts problem!

I don't get this.

Why is it evertime I try to manually set the cuts it keeps going back to

Cut B always seems to go back to an uneven number, for instance I have a prim set at

B : 0.399 and E : 0.700

Now if i try to manually change b to anything even it goes back to odd, if i try to change it to 0.400 instead of 0.399 it automatically changes back by itself. Same with E if I change that to an odd number like 0.697 it will go back to 0.700 by itself?

The big problem lies when i'm trying to mirror these prims, and the mirrored prim always seems very slightly out and i think it has something to do with the cut, is this a big or am i doing something wrong? I've done all the math and it all adds up but when i mirror its still out?

One of the more annoying aspects of building in SL is that the rounding math for cuts (and other things) tends to change from update to update. It's a bit like the weather; if you don't like it, wait.

Unfortunately, there's nothing we as users can do about this. When the changes happen, LL usually describes them as an attempt to make the data stream more efficient. I can understand the need for economy in network traffic, but what irks me is that the adjustments never seems to be done with any mind paid to the effect on existing content, not that I can imagine how .399 is simpler to stream than .4 in the first place. Oh well. All we can do is live with the fact that we can never be as exacting as we'd like to be in our builds, and leave a little margin for error to compensate.

Yeah ok i figured it wasnt my own user error. So do they know about this issue? not sure about waiting, maybe it could be a year i can't handle a couple hours without building but then again i dont want to make a 300 prim build and then have to do parts of it over when they fix the problem, if they do...:(
