Hi I wondered if anyone had any tips about how to place a wedding ring on an avatar. I am using the option to place on the left hand, which appears perfect when wearing a ring on the middle finger, but on the ring finger, any movement by the avatar makes the ring look out of place or sticking out. I know there may not be an exact solution, but does anyone have any placement tips which would help, or do all wedding bands have this less than perfect look.

All tips appreciated thanks

You just have to live with it, really. Since there isn't any "finger" attachment point, it's in effect attached to the hand at the wrist joint... which looks bad as soon as a finger moves in the slightest.

The best you can do is put an animation in the ring that will lock the fingers in position. You can't actually animate individual fingers, but you can choose from a list of preset hand positions when you upload an animation.

Thank you for your helpful replies, I will have to check out the animation thing, but I Bet probably most people dont even notice too much when it is out of allignment. Pushing the ring up towards the hand lessens the movement slightly and I guess it will have to do.

Make it a band, not a solitaire diamond. I've got a beautiful diamond band w/ stones embedded in the band. On the ring finger, it looks and acts well. But, if it had a big ol' stone sticking out the top ... well, it wouldn't work as well.
