Linking a Phantom prim

I need to have one prim in a linkset set to phantom, is it possible?

There is a way to do this, set the prim to flexi with all the stiffest settings, so to speak. If the object moves the flexi prim will probably show movement, but if the object is static it won't move at all.

P.S. it's not actually set as phantom, it just is.

Right. Otherwise, the entire linkset takes the phantom/non-phantom property of its root prim.
