Is there a way to limit sound (specifically a radio) to just one room, or a limited area?

for streaming media (like the radio and video feeds) the only way to do it would be to section off the land into seperate parcels, but then its only in a 2D space, so if the rooms above dont match the floorplan below you might end up with 2 streams that switch over in the middle of your upstairs bonus room
for other sounds (that you upload to SL) theres some scripting options to restrain them in a bubble like area
