Hi,
I just recently bought 3 texture packs boxed. When I copied their inventory I see that they are copy/mod/no transfer, which I gather basically means I can do whaterver I want with them as long as they don't get sold or sold in another item.

However, althtough I see the items in the inventory and they are textures (can open them and such) , I cannot access them from the texture picker in the build component.
They simple aren't listed. Help.

Hi, this happens to me as well with no transfer textures.

What I have to do is get out of edit mode, open my inventory, find the texture and drag and drop it onto each face of the prim. Now aday once i do that it shouts "can not edit object" or something like that, but the texture still applies.

Its a major pain and never used to be like this for me until a few updates back.

I wonder if there is a way to make the no trans textures show in the texture picker while in edit mode or if this is a bug. Its highly annoying.

Here is something to try: make a note of the name of one of the files. Then when you are in the texture tab search for your texture by name. Sometimes things are listed in your inventory in a different folder or different order than you expect.

Hope this help

Message the creator and inquire if there has been a mistake? Was there a sign that said they were to be with full rights or limited rights where you bought them? Always check for how they are to be sold before buying them, if you can't determine permissions, IM the owner first before buying.

No Transfer = No Picker

I knew the item was no transfer, but can't seem to find anything that would have let me know that you can't use texture picker in build mode to use them.

I mean, using texture picker doesn't do anything to violate the item being no transfer right?

Doubt it, like i said it never was like this until a few updates back. Could be a bug. I`d probably contact support or ask in "linden answers"

Apply Immediately Bug...

Apparently, information from the creator of the texture indicates that there is a bug with no transfer textures IF you have apply immediately selected.

Sure enough, once I took the check off, they appeared in the picker and I was able to apply them via the button.

Thanks for everyone's responses.
