Hi! I'm a developer on RL...And now scripter on SL. I am providing a tool to help the builders... This tool enables the creation of packages for sell and solve problems as the "Link Failed -- pices are too far apart". This tool is for free now... Well... You can get you tool in this blog: http://slinkator.ricna.net I'm studing some way to create offline tool (on Java) for design projects....Soon i'll have something to show you. Thank you.

Is this in any way different, functionally, from Rez Foo, Rez Faux, and the like?
I am confused about something in your instructions. In step 4, it says "Try moving the SLinkator (recommended, and other tools don't have this option)." I take that to mean you think that the structure pieces won't follow the packager object around with Rez Foo, etc. But they do. So what am I missing? What's different?
On a side note, you should probably remove the SL logo from your branding. LL owns that trademark, and they don't allow people to use it on third party products.

In other tools you need PUT the Structure inside before... After this you can "rez" and move...
With SLinkator you can "try" (test) the linked strucure before. In siome cases the builder forget one prim, and to put in correct place again, is boring.
You put the script inside of object and move the SLinkator, you'll see the diference... Try to do it with other tool...
And more! You could "Lock" and "Unlock" the strucuture too...Other diference. Have suport to multilingue, more one diference...

Thanks for answering. I can certainly see how multiple language support is a plus, and the lock/unlock feature does sound like it's probably useful. I'm still confused on the movement thing, though. When I use Rez-Foo, if I move the packager, all the structure pieces move along with it. This will happen both before and after the pieces have been placed in the packager's inventory. The kind of movement-based testing you're talking about is something I do all the time. So again, what's different in that regard? ETA: I didn't realize you were giving it free. That's very generous of you. I'll echo MoxZ's thank you note.

I did not know this tool: rez-foo. I had compared to: Rez-Fauz: $ 625 Jack-In-The-Box: $ 2500 and others with much bugs... Now I bought this Rez-Foo: $2500 lindens, to verify that. You are right, the Rez-Foo also has this function...
But look the GUI (Graphical User Interface)... You can "rez" and "derez" all the time!?!? Can "derez" before "rez"!?!? You can "finalize" with structure keeped!?!? You can "save" with structure keeped!?!? ...Ok! Is a great tool... And work well... But... Is not intuitive to final user.
I lost $2.500,00 lindens in this "joke minute"... Now I already know how much I can charge for my tool, lol.
Whatever...SLinkator do all it and more... and it's free now! I still with Lock/Unlock (very useful) and multilingue...
... And now with the most friendly interface for your customer!

Wow, Fermat. You didn't need to go out and spend money just to verify. I appreciate your diligence.
I'm curious now about your GUI design. I'll give your tool a whirl when I get a chance.
Thanks again for offering it for free. I'm really not sure how I missed that the first time around, given that it's in the title of the thread. I'm smart like that sometimes.
