Is there any guides out there or can someone explain how to stretch prims for me? I have some clothing prims that don't fit so well and would like to modify them and they are no copy, so don't want to screw it up.
Any help would be much appreciated! Brett

1: Use a pose stand, so you aren't moving or in an odd position when trying to adjust the prims.
2: Have the "Streach Both Sides" edit checkbox checked, so as the item scales it remains centered on the attachment point.
3: Select "Streach" on the left side of the edit box, and use the white handles to expand or contract the item as needed.
4: Use the "Position" option in Edit to adjust the position, using the local arrows on the prim linkset.
In some cases you may have to adjust individual prim parts. For example, on one Kimono I was making the obi, the waist sash, smaller. But I couldn't scale it small enough because one part in the knot on the back was already at minimum thickness. So I had to edit that prim to make it thicker, and then could continue scaling the whole thing smaller.

ONLY if it doesn't look bad...like if its only too short on one side, be careful you don't overshoot the other...

When you go to stretch things, you will also often see the blue/green/red (x,y,z) stretch boxes show up. These are more useful for more straight-lined objects (like furniture) than for clothing. In general, stick with the gray stretch handles for clothes.
Sometimes you will find that you cannot make a piece of clothing as small as you need to. This is because there is a prim in the object that cannot shrink any further. A few words of advice in this case:
> if the object is a flexi skirt, try moving it lower on your hips. > if it really needs to be made smaller, try contacting the creator for a smaller one

As an aside, I bought a *no-mod* prim skirt for one of my smaller alts, and when I found it didn't fit well, I talked to the maker, who turned out to be quite happy to adjust it perfectly for me!
