I wants to make a nice curvy walkways like a shallow 'S' or sigma curve - an' I knows I can do it with cut, hollowed cylinders but, but -- but BORING!!

There's GOTZ'ta be a more creative way that looks fun & func & stuff. What are some intersting shapes ah can play with? It don't need to line up/match up precisely, 'jes define a space, a path ya know? Like maybez something that starts narrow and fattens out at one end or in the middle, or shapes that can be layered right to look like something decent.

Anyone got ideas for funky walk time? Thank-thanks!!

Before I knew how to hollow and cut a prim I made an "S" shape using cylinders (4 of them if I remember correctly) and flattened them and stretched to form ovals then placed them overlapping until I got an "S". But I did have to align them and lay them on each other til they were all the level. So there's one simple way to getting your curved walk way. :) Getting any textures to work decently might be a little tricky though.

If you have terraform rights, and if you work carefully with the land shaping tools, you can make a shallow trench in the ground and then put a plain, flat prim in it, so it 'fills' the trench like water. (The prim's edges remain below the surrounding land.) This can be used to make paths that would otherwise be impossible shapes, like a path that undulates in width or which is very irregular. However, the land shaping tools are somewhat difficult to work precisely with, and the terrain grid's pretty coarse. So it's not as easy as you might think.

Cadroe Murphy made a free tool called a ring maker that makes a nice circle (or ring) of prims IM me in game i'll drop one on you. The circle can used to make a curve section by deleting the pieces you don't need. Still would be nice if some clever person made a thing that if you placed a few prims along a path it would make a nice smooth prim conservative path between them.

You can try Seifert Surface's PathMaker. It will take a series of roughly aligned path pieces (boxes) and create a continuous path with no gaps. Well, some small gaps at times that can usually be removed.

He posted the code to the forums here: /54/78/92623/1.html

I also have some prims all set with the code and a tiling rock textures. IM me in-world and I can give you a copy.
