Hi

Let's assume I have a screen.

When I'm standing near my screen and I upload an image in my inventory ( File > upload image ) and pay 10L$, I want that this image is automatically displayed in the screen.

Is that possible?

Thanks

Not possible, unless you know the UUID of the texture, which you won't know if its freshly uploded. You can not query a users inventory, and you can only call items by name if they exist in the objects inventory.

No, but it's almost unnecessary to script.

Fortunately, if you are indeed standing near the 'screen' prim, you can drag the texture (which should always show up in a window right after you upload it) right onto the 'screen' face of that prim, and it will show up there.

If you want to be able to do this effect quickly over multiple faces (e.g. a 20x20 screen, or a multi-directional display), there's just a quick touch of pre-arrangement. Simply have your Edit window open to the Texture tab, and select the prim(s) you want to have covered in the texture (for multiple prims, this selection can still take just one click if they're linked together). Now anytime you upload an image, just drag it right into the texture box in that Texture tab.
