cleaning rotating multiple selected prims was always bad in terms of maintaining precision, but it used to be that linking solved much of the problem
I'm seeing in 1.7 that if I build a complicated seamless object on the 90 degree plane, and then link and rotate, it really falls apart.
is it worse, or just my impression?

I rotate and moved large linked parts really slow now, to make sure none of them fall out of place. Quite annoying...

In my quest for the best way to join truncated tapered tori I tried rotating the whole object so the face I was working on was at zero rotation in world coordinates... and when I rotated it back the gaps and offsets I'd so carefully eliminated came back. What SL *really* needs is surface physics. Hydrogen bonds, van-der-Waals forces, surface tension, static electricity, even the Casimir effect... when two surfaces are coplanar within the resolution of the "prim" model then the client should *snap* them together before building the mesh. PS: cute mice
