I can't go in world to check it, but I would think that if you take a sphere, hollow it, and then use the cut begin and end and the dimple cut and end it will do exactly what you want.
If I could get in world I would give you exact figures, but once you see what dimpling does it should become apparent.

Yea, you should be able to make something fairly similar to that by torturing a sphere. I also cannot get into game to get exact figures, but it should be easy to figure out if you do the following Rez a sphere and increase it in size to a something more like 5m all around instead of the default 0.5m Hollow the sphere as far as you can. Cut the sphere from one or both sides until it makes a crescent/banana shape - Would also look similar to a parenthesis () Then just slowly begin to dimple from both sides evenly and you should wind up with something quite close with just a little bit of sizing.

I don't see how a sphere would make straight edges on all 4 sides.
One thought would be to start with a torus, hollow it and use both profile cut and path cut.

intersecting 2 cut cylinders at 90degrees (pretty close but not exact) intersecting 2 cut toruses at 90 degrees (maybe a bit closer result)

I just tried. What alidar said will work. However, from the scale, it loks like you'd need to start with an oversize sphere prim to make this work for taht level of curvature..
