Is it possible to create objects that can stream music from a URL, similar to streaming music through to a parcel?

Well, a scripted object can use the parcel media capabilities to play just about anything available on the Web, with as much control as you care to script in. The main restriction is that it only works when the object is on its owner's land, so that might not cover the use you have in mind.

sort of, there's a cute little trick involing setting video streams on objects and who they're viewable by  towards the bottom
