Building In The Sky

Today I made a box and in edit mode moved it up to about 650m and found a whole world up there which brought up questions.

I "assume" that some sort of vehicle is required to get "home" for those that build up there. Correct?

I met someone at over 650m who rezed a prem for us to stand on. How is that done while in the air? I only seem to be able to create an object when on the water or on land or is there something I am missing?

Any suggestions as to forums with more info on high altitude building/living?

Any suggestions on a simple vehicle to purchase for exploring up there?
