Building camera

Hey everyone,

I want to build camera, thet can take pictures.
someone can halp me with script for it, or jeneral tips how to build it???

If someone know where i can find free camera in SL, please tell me.

Ahhhhh ..... you mean instead of just using your SL camera system? I don't understand.

For general photography in SL, a "camera" is an accessory that is not needed. You can take a snapshot of anything your avatar can see, with a click of the mouse. Just click the "snapshot" button in your client. Everyone has that "free camera".

There are SL "cameras" that are scripted objects, but they consist mainly of a convenient way to position your camera in a readily repeatable position that doesn't move if your avatar moves.

Any prims that make the "camera" look like a real-world camera are just for show. Some of the best SL 'cameras' just control camera position, and could just as easily consist of just a single unmarked prim that tracks the desired position and accepts commands.

ceera, this is exectaly what i want, i want a camera only to look like a photographer (what i do in my RL).

That's a very simple building job, Avi. Depending on exactly how detailed you want your "camera" to appear, you can build one yourself with a few prims and a few minutes of effort. If you don't want to build one yourself, this really isn't the right place to ask. Try posting in the Products Wanted forum or looking on SLExchange, or do a search for in-world vendors by using www.metaverseink.com and typing in the keyword "camera."

If all you want is a good looking prop camera, there are several people in Sl alerady making and selling props that look like pro-quality 35 mm and digital cameras. Michael Bigwig comes to mind, but a search on SL Exchange ( http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace ) should find several nice ones.
