Can someone please tell me step by step how to make a light source for my avatar's face? I see it mentioned here (below quote) and elsewhere in the forums but no one explains the initial setup. Do I create a sphere, and turn on "Light" under "Features" tab? I tried that but it doesn't work.

Do I need to create a script to generate the light?

I was trying to create a face light last night...an invisible light source that would attach to my AV and follow her around and light up her face in dark places.

Create a sphere.
Set sl view to Midnight.
Turn on Light in the Features tab.
Give sphere a transparent texture.
Take sphere in inventory.
Rename sphere (Object) to 'facelight'
Right-click 'facelight' in inventory.
Select Attach to... choose mouth or chin or whatever stationary part of the head.
Now 'facelight' is attached to your avi.
Right-click the sphere which is now attached to your avi.
Move it to the right position with the arrows.

PS: Don't make the sphere too small or you won't see it when attached. Resize later when it is attached.

Thanks Paulo.
When it *still* didn't work for me, I went into Preferences, Graphics Detail, and turned on Nearby Local Lights. Voila.
