Large Prim

I have a 20x20x5 prim block I was given. I can only add texures to it. not modifiable. I want to know how it is created. can anyone help me?

Apparently, large prims are remnants from a bygone era when giant avs roamed the grid.
Not modifyable? There are many mod ones around.
You can do more with them than just texture. Try cutting, twisting, playing and turn it into a ring.
Avs can't go through most of them though, if cut like door ways.
And; They are no impingement on the grid from what I hear.

The oversized prims were created a while back through a loophole long since closed by the Lindens, though the ones in existence can still be copied.

These megaprims as they are called can be modded via path cut, twist, shear, and so on, but you can't resize them. And you can, as you found out, texture them.

You may also hear people tell you horror stories of the problems that megaprims cause, that they are "illegal" and forbidden by the Lindens. None of that is true. Yes, megaprims (especially the ones larger than a sim) can cause problems if misused, or if they are made physical objects, but other than that, used carefully and in moderation, there's nothing wrong with them.

You can find sets of them for free on SLX. Failing that, IM me in-world and I'll pass you a set. Just be CAREFUL with them...
