Hi,
I recently bought some plants that were modifiable, consisting of 3 prims. Moving the plants were no problem, but when I tried to reduce their size to fit in my window box, only the root prim changed size, not the other two linked prims. I had to click the Edit Linked Parts box, select each of the 3 prims separately, then I could resize each one in turn, and of course I had to do the maths to see what the new sizes should be, as each prim was not the same size to start with.
I thought this was strange, and sure enough when I had some free time I created 3 prims, all different shapes and sizes, linked them, and then when I did a stretch they all stretched together. So why don't the 3 linked prims in the plant all stretch together?
Any ideas? [cross-posted from Resident Answers]

The panels that the plants are on are likely .010 thick, the thinnest a prim can be. If you increase the size of those panels to .020, you could halve the size of the object.

Turn off Edit Linked Parts, and you should be able to scale the entire object as a whole. If, as Renee mentioned, any prim in the set is already sized at .01M on any axis, then you won't be able to make the object any smaller. You'll need to increase the size of that individual part before you can make the whole thing smaller.
So you know, scaling with Edit Linked Prims was broken in the last update. It used to be if you selected all the objects together, and you scaled them all at the same time, they'd scale in unison as one group. Now they scale independently, which is really, really silly. Until that's fixed, don't ever use Edit Linked Parts to try to scale more than one prim at a time.

Hi,
I also tried to scale one of my objects and I make the same remark, I can only resize the reference prim, the one in yellow, but the blue ones remain the same.
Do you use X, Y,Z sizes to resize it or is there any scale factor soemwherre?
