Group members cant add some trees to land

We have 4 members in our group, the group is not deeded to the land. All members except the original owner get the following message when adding some trees to the land. "You can't create trees or grass on land you don't own" The weird thing is it seems to be only for Linden created trees, not any that are bought anywhere else.

I am looking for an explanation on why the other members are getting this error.

The land was just recently sub-divided so that 4 new rentals have their own property lines.

They need to have their group role have the ability: Parcel Content --> Landscaping using Linden plants

I believe that you will have to deed the land to the group for this group roles function to work. There are a bunch of functions in Group Roles that used to work if the land was only set to a group, but now require the land to actually be deeded to the group.

Only the land owner can plant Linden trees. If the land is owned by a group, then there is an ability in the group screen to allow roles to plant trees.

Yes, I wish those group functions would... function once more. It's difficult working around them all.

According to Torley's reply when I bug reported the fact that my Partner couldn't set her home position to my land that was set to my group, with all appropriate group roles in effect, in spite of the fact that the group roles say that is sufficent... The change to require the land being deeded is intentional. They will be changing the group roles text to indicate that it does require deeding the land now. So don't hold your breath waiting for LL to fix it so just setting the land to group will make group roles work. They have clearly declared that as a "Won't do" action.
