Texture Spanning multiple prims

I am trying to make a movie appear on much larger than 10x10. To do this I need get a texture to span multiple prims. I was told to fool about with repeats per face and offset. If I wanted the movie screen to be 16 * 12, what size texture in pixels should I upload to create this effect?
