Hey guys... today i made really cool house but i can not seem to link all of the peices together. it's not because of any permision problems it because it says the parts are to far way.. [14:04] Link failed -- Unable to link 20 of the 93 selected pieces - pieces are too far apart. How do i link my house together?

You don't. The distance limits are what they are. HOWEVER, you do have three options. One is to pick up the house as a coalesced object. That is, very carefully open your edit window (CTRL-3) and drag a selection rectangle around the entire house, then take it into inventory. To do this properly, you need to be sure that you have done Tools >> Select Only My Objects, and you need to check to be sure that everything in the house is actually highlighted (as in "selected";) before you take the coalesced object.

The second option is to create two or more linked units instead of trying to link the entire house. To make THIS option work, you ought to identify some part of the house where the linked units overlap, so you can align the pieces again when you re-rez them.

The third option is to use Builder's Buddy, RezFaux, or one of the other standard packaging programs that do option two for you. This is the way most commercial builders work.

You CAN link things that are up to 54m apart, if their sizes are right. Here are the rules, they're a little convoluted: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linkability_Rules

Usually, the problem is that the smaller pieces of the build are too far away from each other. So, if you have any little doodads on the build that aren't essential, you might try linking it without them.

If you really want to link the build exactly as is, do as Rolig says. Make it into multiple linksets, and either take it as a coalesced object (next time you rez it, be sure to already have an edit window open, so you can move it all as one piece!), or use rez-foo, rez-faux, or builder's buddy to pack it up. The latter is much more flexible, the former is easier.

Good luck!
